Canopy fume hood

Canopy fume hood are designed for ventilation of steam, odours and heat when mounted over the areas like water bath, hot plates and portable equipment or other heat generating apparatus are used. They are used in exhausting non-toxic smells and steams.

These fume hoods are installed as either wall-mounted or hanged from the ceiling. The technicians work beneath these hoods protecting them from chemicals and also protecting the environment. Integral baffles exhaust air into the discharge vent preventing turbulence.

Canopy hoods free up the space in laboratories because of this ventilation system underneath the workspace. This system will be more sufficient for an open environment experiment requiring large space and versatility. This fume hood is not recommended for toxic or hazardous substances. Their advantages are low maintenance, fumes are completely removed.

While there are standard sizes for canopy fume hoods, your hood can be customized to your specific size requirements. Drizgas’s canopy fume hoods are usually made from epoxy coated steel, but we can also make them using stainless 304 or 316 for more demanding environments.

Our customized stainless steel Canopy Fume Hoods come with a brushed finish and will give your lab that clinical, clean look.

Standard depth on most canopy fume hoods is 30″, but we can fabricate custom canopies in single units up to 96″w x 60″d. Going beyond those dimensions would require us to piece together the hood for you.

We also fabricate polyethylene canopy fume hood for the most demanding corrosive environments. White, stress-relieved polyethylene is the premium material for acid and corrosion resistance. Poly hoods are manufactured with no exposed metal parts.
